The IDByte 2015 Roadshow is our quest in finding the next best Start Up in Indonesia. This year our roadshow will travel to 5 cities across Indonesia in search for local talents in the digital industry. We are inviting digital enthusiasts, digital communities, startup founders to come join our festivities! If you think you have what it takes to win our Start Up Award, stop hesitating and register your start up now!

 

How will the roadshow work?

The roadshow will be open for public, free of charge. It will consist of a short seminar session with top business leaders and a Start Up Hunt Competition. As part of our mission to develop Indonesia’s digital and technology industry, we will be searching for the best local Start Up to compete for the Start Up Award at Bubu Awards v.09!

 

How do I compete for the Start Up Hunt?

The criteria for Start Up Hunt is as follows:

1. You must be a start up of at least one year old, less than three years.
2. Must be a registered Indonesian company.
3. Have received revenue of less than IDR 2,500,000,000.
4. Have never been invested by a Venture Capital, but start ups who has received angel investment can apply.
5. Startups who have undergone or are undergoing incubation are still eligible to apply.

The Prizes

IDByte 2015 Start Up Hunt Finalists will receive up to $30,000 worth of tools and services from FBStart, a program from Facebook created to help mobile startups build, grow their apps and maximise their impact.

The Grand Prize for IDByte 2015 Start Up Hunt is a week-long bootcamp in Silicon Valley with Silicon Valley Asia Technology Alliance (SVATA). SVATA is a non-profit organisation that aims to bridge Silicon Valley with the emerging markets, particularly in South East Asia.

Achmad Zaky is CEO Bukalapak.com. He actually started dabbling in the world since the start-up was a student at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) majoring in Computer Science, Class of 2004. After graduating from college, along with fellow student, Nugroho Herucahyono, Zaky then make an online marketplace named Bukalapak.com. Bukalapak.com which was officially founded in 2011, created with the aim to empower Indonesian small and medium enterprises by providing container to SMEs is to sell and find buyers of their products.

Shinta Danuwardoyo has been in the Indonesia's digital industry for 16 years. She is known for being the founder of Bubu.com (founded the company in 1996), one of the first internet companies in Indonesia which has evolved into country's leading Digital media Agency engaging with internet, social media and mobile strategies. Previously, she was the CEO of Plasa.com, Indonesia’s trusted and established E-commerce portal, owned by Telkom Indonesia and co-invested by Ebay.

Andrew Senduk is the CEO of Moxy Indonesia. Starting his career in Finance as both management consultant (Deloitte) and sales trader (ING). In 2009, Andrew started his first e-commerce venture, with this venture generated 40.000 USD in the first 24 hours. During 2009-2013, he built several businesses recognized national and internationally. He joined forces Ardent Capital’s Whatsnew Group to build the Indonesian office.

William Ekaputra Wijaya, or William Eka , is the Associate Director of SkyStarCapital. He is named as one of the young venture capitalist in the world. At his age, he already had a lot of experiences in venture capital and helped a lot of start-up to became success.

Commissioner at PT. Saratoga Investama Sedaya, Tbk.

Dr. Indra Uno began his career as an aerospace engineer at the largest aircraft manufacturer in Asia. Later, he was entrusted to lead the project and eventually promoted to manager. After receiving his MBA he served in top management team of multi-national companies. He started his management consulting firm in 2006 and recently he was undergoing his PhD in Strategic Management. This time he also served as a board member.

Steven Vanada  is the Vice President of CyberAgent Ventures. After his graduation from university, he worked for a private hedge fund in the United States as a stockbroker intern and moved to Japan for Japanese Language short-term program. While studying, he was also working as an intern at a Japanese IT firm that was aiming to gain a market share in Indonesia. Soon afterwards, he joined CyberAgent Ventures, Inc as one of the venture capitalist teams that will be operating in Indonesia.
