In Bubu Awards v.10, we are introducing a new mechanism for selecting nominees: all nominees for Best Brand Engagement in Digital, Best Digital Tech Business and Best Digital Talent are selected based on data available from AppAnnie, Alexa, ComScore, Social Bakers and more. But don't worry, we are still opening submission for the category of Best Website Award and Best Startup Award.

After 15 years serving for Telkomsel, this alumnus of Institut Teknologi Bandung has been assigned as the CEO of Blanja.com (was known as Plasa.com), a joint venture company between PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia and eBay. They aim to develop full e-commerce marketplace business in Indonesia for both internet and mobile users.

He holds over 9 years of entrepreneurial and e-­?commerce experience across Europe and South East Asia. In 2015 he founded Moxy Indonesia that eventually rebranded to Orami, South East Asia’s #1 online destination for women. Orami has raised 8 digits of funding and has hundreds of employees in Thailand and Indonesia. Prior to this, Andrew spent 1 year building one of the fastest growing digital agencies within the region, Lion & Lion (acquired by Septeni Holdings in 2016) where he acted as Country Managing Director Indonesia. He is very involved in Indonesia’s tech scene and has been organising FreeShare talks that have more than 100+ speakers such Nadiem Makarim (Gojek), Achmad Zaky (Bukalapak), Andreas Ehn (Spotify), Khailee Ng (500 Startups), Markus Bihler (HappyFresh), and many other super star entrepreneurs. Aryo is known as the youngest and currently most active Indonesian VC since 2013. Huge networks in multiple industries other than tech and is involved with entrepreneurial & political organisations. Promising investor in Indonesia and will probably connect industries together in the future. He is the Community Leader of Techstars (One of the biggest accelerator program in the world) and also the lead organiser for Startup Weekend Jakarta (Google). He founded PROJECT SHOE and ran the company as CEO in New York back in 2014. A person who has tasted both sides of the table, as a VC and as an entrepreneur.

Usman Lodhi

Group Head for Digital Strategy and Investments of Indosat Ooredoo

Usman Lodhi is currently the Group Head for Digital Strategy and Investments at Indosat Ooredoo. He is responsible for managing strategy, operations and investments for the digital unit, which is at the forefront of innovation in the Indonesian mobile financial services, e-commerce, big data and mobile advertisement space. He is also the venture partner for Indosat Ooredoo's multi-award winning start-up incubator and the Indosat-Softbank VC fund. He previously worked for Rocket Internet AG, where he was the Founder and Managing Director of Easy Taxi Indonesia. Usman has over seven years of experience in the Asian digital start-up space, prior to which he worked in finance and technology roles in Europe. He has an MBA from Cass Business School, City University, London.

Bubu Awards v.09 invited top digital talents, companies and startups in the country. Bubu Awards started as a web design competition in 2001, and over time has evolved into recognizing the best talents in Indonesia’s digital industry. Since 2001, Bubu Awards has expanded its awards category, following the trends and advancements of digital. 

In 2015, we successfully invited 40 judges from across the globe, and presented 20 awards to Indonesia's digital talents and companies. Bubu Awards v.09 also shortlisted 8 of Indonesia's best tech startups, and gave the best startup, Kakatu, a parental control app from Bandung, a Silicon Valley bootcamp.
