BUBU AWARDS CATEGORIES

Started in 2001, Bubu Awards is a pioneer in web awards in Indonesia. What started as just a web awards, it has since expanded to awards in digital marketing, apps as well as tech startups.
This award focuses on innovation, design and understanding of your target audience.

Bubu Awards will be judged by judges

General criterions for entry is as follows:

  1. Products entered for Bubu Awards must have been created from Aug 1st, 2013 until Aug 20th 2015.
  2. Entries may be made by Agency, Consultancy or Partner on behalf of the Brand, or by the Brand directly.
  3. Entrants of the awards must be a registered Indonesian company, and submitted campaigns must be those run in Indonesia.
  4. Campaigns created for brands in the region, but by companies based elsewhere is not eligible for entry.
  5. One entrant can submit for entry to more than one category.
  6. For agencies submitting entry for the Digital Campaign category, you must attach a permission letter from the brand.
  7. Submission for Digital Campaigns, Web Awards, Digital Talents and Mobile Apps must be made before 27 AUG 2015, 23:59PM.

Digital campaign award recognizes brands/products that succeded in integrating digital campaign into their integrated marketing communication strategy.

Entries will be judged based on:
Innovation (60%), Performance/Results (25%), Execution (15%)
Website that showcases products or specific consumer needs that utilize the best use of digital medium.

Entries will be judged based on:
User Experience (35%), Content (35%), Design (20%), Technology (10%)
Website that integrates the process of developing, marketing, selling, delivering, servicing and paying for products and services online.

Examples: Tokopedia, Blibli, Lazada

Entries will be judged based on:
User Experience (50%), Content (5%), Design (10%), Technology (35%)
Website that focuses on delivering news and highlighting trends, lifestyle and entertainment to their online audience and contributes value to their lifestyle.

Examples: Nyunyu.com, MalesBanget.com

Entries will be judged based on:
User Experience (35%), Content (35%), Design (20%), Technology (10%)
Website that promotes and accommodates activities, deliver news or recommendation related to travel, travel destinations and tourism in Indonesia.

Examples: Traveloka.com, RajaKamar.com, Qraved

User Experience (30%), Content (40%), Design (20%), Technology (10%)
Website that displays corporate information and activities effectively in digital landscape, leading to better organizational achievements.

Examples: Sinarmas.com, Pertamina.co.id

Website that dedicates the service in any area related to education, which highlights knowledge sharing, training and online education.

Website of non-profit organisations or charity campaigns that successfully garnered awareness and support of their cause, and creates a social impact.

Examples: Indonesia Mengajar, Wujudkan, Teach For Indonesia

Website that utilizes Internet to deliver government information and services to Indonesian citizens.

Examples: PT. KAI, bandung.go.id, jakarta.go.id

Website that focuses on real time news content, based on facts and designed to ease access for readers to gather information.

Examples: Berita Satu, Kompas.com, The Jakarta Post, Tempo.co

Mobile App Award will be given to apps that presents the best use of application, and significantly contributes to value and effectiveness of mobile devices. Entries will be judged based on design, content, technology and usability of the application. The two categories for Mobile App Awards are:

a. Digital Business Leader
An individual who successfully leads their organization while embracing digital strategy to achieve their business objectives.
Entries will be judged based on business performance and results.

b. Digital Influencer
An individual who has the power to influence the behavior of a broader mass through the use of digital media.
(in field of: Music, Fashion, Lifestyle)

c. Digital Community
A community which inspires people to join and develop their hobbies or common interests, create social movement or cause, executing positive activities or meetups while embracing digital as part of their lifestyle.
Entries are judged based on level of engagement among members and level of participation on conducted activities.
The Start Up Award is given to the startup that has proven to have the potential to grow. They offer consumers a solution and answer their needs.
What is the process?
Judging for the Start Up Award will be processed through a pitching session held during our roadshows.

The following is the criteria for eligibility:
1. You must be a start up of at least one year old, less than three years.
2. Must be a registered Indonesian company.
3. Have received revenue of less than IDR 2,500,000,000.
4. Have never been invested by a Venture Capital, but start ups who has received angel investment can apply.
5. Startups who have undergone or are undergoing incubation are still eligible to apply.

Steps to register your start up for pitching session is as follows:
1. Fill our registration form here (link to Bubu registration page).
2. Pick a roadshow city nearest to you
3. You will be notified if you are the shortlisted Start Up to be invited to our Start Up Hunt roadshow.
4. Show up at the roadshow and be ready to impress your judges!
5. Winners of the roadshow pitching round will be announced shortly after the roadshow, and will be invited for the Final round in Jakarta.
