What is Angel Investor Workshop?
Indonesia has experienced incredible growth in digital in the recent years. The number of internet users reached 74.8 million in 2014, and the number is predicted to rise 20% by 2016. This significant growth opens up many new opportunities for creative and entrepreneurial individuals to take advantage of, starting up their own digital companies.
There are already a number of bright, creative digital players in the industry who are not afraid to innovate. As an Angel Investor you will take a key part in supporting these bright, creative individuals to help grow their projects. You can take part in various Angel Investor roles. In the IDByte Angel Investor Workshop you will learn how you can become one.
IDByte and Angel Labs’ Angel Investor Workshop’s mission is to boost entrepreneurial ecosystem through direct investment in local startups, investments in local incubators and/or venture capital funds, and organic revenue generation created through strategic partnerships with workshop attendees.
Franky Sibarani, Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM)
Franky Sibarani is the Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). Graduated from Bogor Agricultural Institute, he started his career at Astra Agro Niaga Group. Prior to his position, he was the Chief Corporate Affairs Division in Tudung Group from 2002-2014. Beside his job, he joined many organization such as APINDO, GAPMMI, PIPIMM, and many more until 2014 before he appointed as Chairman of BKPM.
Tugce Ergul, Angel Labs
Tugce Ergul is the co-founder of Angel Labs, and will be one of our keynote speakers at IDByte 2015 Angel Investor Workshop. Before starting Angel Labs, Tugce was Managing Director at Start Up Labs, where she managed over 30 successful investments. Outside of Angel Labs, Tugce continues to be a consultant and speaker on the topics of economic development, angel and venture financing in numerous countries and NGO. She has previously worked closely with entrepreneurship programs in several developing countries including Vietnam, Mexico, Turkey and Argentina. In 2014, with Angel Labs, Tugce spoke at ID-Byte X: Angel Investors Workshop in Bali.
Sandiaga Uno, Saratoga Investama
Sandiaga Salahudin Uno Is the founding partner of Saratoga Investama, one of the biggest private equity firm in Indonesia. As a prominent entrepreneur, Sandi is active in Indonesian business community promoting entrepreneurships and empowering grass root SME's. Since April 2015, Sandi taking his new role in GERINDRA (political party) to encourage condusive economic policy and ecosystem to improve business climate in Indonesia.
Shinta Dhanuwardoyo, Bubu.com
Shinta Dhanuwardoyo is passionate about digital and technology development. She has been in Indonesia's digital industry for 19 years, when she founded Bubu.com, a pioneering website company in 1996.
Shinta was also a former CEO of PT Telkom’s Plasa.com, Indonesia’s trusted and well-established eCommerce portal, which boasts the exclusive partnership with eBay.com. After having successfully built and launched plasa.com, Shinta joined Nusantara ventures, a venture fund and incubation for technology until end of 2013, when she decided to return and resume the CEO position at Bubu.
Shinta is currently the Chairwoman of the Online and Print Media at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). She was recognized as one of Globe Asia’s 99 most powerful women.
